A leading organization in the logistics sector is recruiting an Assistant Manager – HR & Legal to strengthen its human resources and legal operations in Dar es Salaam. The position, managed through Recroot Africa, plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with Tanzanian labour laws, effective HR administration, and legal risk management.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee HR operations: contracts, payroll verification, leave, attendance, and employee records.
• Manage employee relations: recruitment, grievances, disciplinary cases, and staff separation.
• Handle legal compliance with Tanzanian labour laws and liaise with authorities (OSHA, NSSF, TRA, Immigration, LATRA, etc.).
• Draft and review contracts (employment, lease, sales) and manage legal correspondence.
• Represent the company in employment-related legal proceedings (CMA, courts).
• Coordinate work permits and visas for expatriates.

Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Law, Business Administration or related field (Master’s an advantage).
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in HR, Legal, or Administration.
• Knowledge of Tanzanian Labour Laws and HR systems (SAP).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Professional certifications in HR or Legal Practice are an asset.

Position Details
• Location: Dar es Salaam
• Contract: Full-time, with a 6-month probation period
